Levana graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Global Resource Systems with a focus in Global Health from the University of British Columbia. Shortly after graduation, she volunteered with a post-stroke exercise research study which helped her gain an appreciation for the power of exercise and its impact on improving quality of life.  She then went on to complete her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2013 from the University of British Columbia with an interest in neurological rehabilitation.

Since graduation, Levana has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings in Fraser Health and Vancouver Costal Health including Vancouver General Hospital and GF Strong to help clients through their rehab journey that have suffered strokes, traumatic brain injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, osteoarthritis, and general deconditioning from prolonged hospital stays. Levana joined the Neuro-Ability team in 2016. These experiences have provided her with valuable insight on the continuum of care for the neurological population and their caregivers. More importantly, these experiences have fostered an appreciation of her clients’ unwavering determination and fortitude. Levana has also worked for the University of British Columbia Department of Physical Therapy as a clinical assessor in a research study looking at upper extremity function post-stroke.

To further her professional development, Levana has taken several post-graduate courses in the Bobath Concept, vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy for the upper extremity in neurological populations, chronic pain management, and dynamic taping.

Levana speaks English, Cantonese, basic French and Mandarin. In her free time she enjoys trekking on mountains, going on gastronomic quests to find the ultimate hole in the wall restaurants, and trying to overcome her fear of heights rock climbing.
