Ishan Dixit
Registered Kinesiologist. B.Kin M.Kin
Ishan is a BCAK-registered kinesiologist with a background in rehabilitation, anatomy education, and biomedical visualization. At the UBC Department of Physical Therapy, he supports research participants in regaining strength and mobility through evidence-based exercise interventions, while also teaching anatomy and developing 3D learning tools for UBC Medicine and Dentistry.
His research in virtual and augmented reality anatomy has been presented internationally and focuses on making complex visualization concepts more accessible to learners and clinicians. Ishan also volunteers with ICORD’s Physical Activity Research Centre, helping individuals with spinal cord injuries stay active and connected.
Outside of work, he enjoys rugby, hiking, and video games, which keep him energized, creative, and always learning from teamwork and challenge.
