Anne Whittaker

Anne graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario. She worked in a variety of orthopaedic settings which provided her with experience in inpatient and outpatient post-surgical orthopaedics, sports medicine and private practice. After working in Toronto for four years she opted for more active lifestyle on the West Coast.

Anne moved to Vancouver in 1998 and worked at the North Shore Sports Medicine Clinic at Capilano University for three years where she was the trainer for the varsity women's soccer and basketball teams.  She has been practicing part time at Oakridge Physiotherapy Centre since 2001. After having the opportunity to treat some individuals with spinal cord injury, which introduced her to Cathy Eustace, Anne joined Neuro-Ability in 2013. 

Anne has her level three orthopaedic certification and has done a number of post graduate level courses in manual therapy.  She has special interest in treating the shoulder and foot and ankle injuries.  Anne completed her acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute in 2015.  More recently, she has taken courses in visceral fascial mobilisation.  Anne is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. 

When Anne is not working she is busy spending time with her family and enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, playing tennis and practicing yoga.
